“The stockings were hung by the chimney with care”

This week we were excited to start our Christmas sewing projects. We used some beautiful Christmas printed fabric, and several children hand-sewed stockings. They were finished-off with decorations of ribbon, glitter and bells and hung around the room. Here is the first completed stocking – sewn and decorated proudly by Charley in Year 4. Such a beautiful result.

My Time Our Place Learning Outcome 1.3

On Monday afternoon we had a great time making “snow” and creating a winter wonderland. It was such a simple idea using just baking soda and shaving cream, and the children enjoyed enjoyed playing with the snow, making snowmen and watching the snow fall on their winter forest.

We have also been thoroughly enjoying a host of delicious summer fruits over the last few weeks, with special treats of ripe mangoes twice a week.

Healthy eating and physical activity are promoted and appropriate for each child
